[에너지신문] 14 December 2015 - The US Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) has allowed Entergy to continue operations at its 1,040 MW Indian Point 3 nuclear power plant in the state of New York while the company seeks licence renewal. Entergy applied to the NRC for a 20-year renewal for the licences of its two reactors on the Indian Point site in April 2007 but parties raised a large number of issues in the adjudicatory process, delaying the process. Indian Point 2, a 1,020 MW reactor commissioned in August 1974, received approval from the NRC to continue operating under the timely renewal provision in September 2013, just before its original operating licence was due to expire. The operating licence for Indian Point C (commissioned in August 1976) had been due to expire on 12 December 2015.
