[에너지신문] 14 December 2015 - German energy utility RWE and Bin Butti International Investment (BBII), an investment entity headquartered in Abu Dhabi, have signed a agreement to develop joint energy-related activities in the MENAT region (Middle East, North Africa and Turkey). The companies will focus on renewable power projects (mainly solar and wind power), on energy efficiency, district cooling and combined use of power and heat for water desalination.

RWE is already active in the region through RWE Middle East, a joint venture with the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA). RWE also operates a gas-fired power plant in the Turkish town of Denizli in a joint venture with Turcas.
