[에너지신문] 15 December 2015 - The new government of Argentina has announced that Enargas (Ente Nacional Regulador del Gas), the regulator of the gas sector in the country, would relinquish its control over gas transmission operator Transportadora de Gas del Norte (TGN). TGN, which is owned by TeGAS NV, CGC and Total, operates 2 pipelines in northern Argentina (one 900 km long pipeline in the north and one 700 km long pipeline in the centre-west of the country) and supplies gas to eight of the nine gas distribution companies.
TGN has been administrated by Enargas since 2008, after it defaulted on debt payment in dollars due to the transportation tariff freeze.
