[에너지신문] 13 January 2016 -Gas exports from Russian gas giant Gazprom to Europe rose by more than 8% in 2015, from 147 bcm in 2014 to 159.4 bcm in 2015, despite political tension over Ukraine.
Gas exports to Germany rose by 17% to 45 bcm, by 37% to France to 10 bcm, by more than 12% to Italy to 24 bcm and by around 10% to the United Kingdom to 17 bcm. According to Gazprom, this rise in supplies to Europe is related to a fall in European gas production and would highlight the need for the controversial Nordstream II gas pipeline project.
