[에너지신문] 18 January 2016 - The Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA) has short-listed 22 large-scale solar projects to take part to the next stage of its A$100m (US$69m) large-scale solar photovoltaic (PV) competitive round.

The projects are located in all mainland states and have a total capacity of 766 MW. Each project was able to demonstrate its cost of energy was below the threshold of A$135/MWh (US$90/MWh), with some projecting costs significantly below this threshold level. Project range from 10 MW to 107 MW (Darling Downs Solar Farm developed by Origin Energy in Queensland).

ARENA’s A$100m competitive round was announced on 9 September 2015 and is designed to bring down costs through the deployment of 200 MW of large-scale solar PV. Full application stage is due 15 June 2016.
