[에너지신문] 02 February 2016 - Tanzania's state-owned oil company Tanzania Petroleum Development Corporation (TPDC) has announced that it had finalised land acquisition for a planned LNG export terminal, which should move the project forward after significant delays related to land acquisition problems.
BG Group (now merging with Shell), Statoil, ExxonMobil, Ophir Energy and TPDC plan to build a 10 Mt/year LNG plant, that would start operations in the early 2020s. The project will be located in the southern Tanzanian town of Lindi, near the large offshore gas fields. Tanzania's gas reserves are estimated at more than 55 Tcf (1,550 bcm).
