[에너지신문] 25 April 2016 - Vietnamese coal producer Vietnam National Coal-Mineral Industries Group (Vinacomin) is continuing its restructuring process initiated in 2012, focusing on its four main production businesses, namely coal, minerals, electricity and industrial explosives.

The company has already classified and defined a restructuring roadmap for other assets, that will be divested. So far, Vinacomin has converted 10 coal production companies into the subsidiaries of parent company Vinacomin, established newly and reorganized Vinacomin branches and reorganized the administrative units. Over the 2016-2020 period, the group will maintain its four main production and business sectors (coal, minerals, electricity, industrial explosives), continue to restructure its organisation restructure, streamline apparatus and labour.

Vinacomin accounts for 95% of the total coal production and provides coal for the power sector.
